Reiki Healing

Discover the ancient art and modern science of Reiki energy healing

The Origins of Reiki

Reiki originated in Japan in the early 20th century, developed by Mikao Usui. The word "Reiki" translates to "universal life energy" — "Rei" meaning universal and "Ki" meaning life force energy. This ancient healing practice is rooted in the belief that all living beings are surrounded by and infused with life force energy that can be channeled for healing and transformation.

While Reiki is a spiritual practice, it is not affiliated with any particular religion or belief system. It complements all faiths and philosophies, making it accessible to people from all backgrounds. The practice has been refined over generations and is now recognized worldwide as a powerful complementary healing modality.

Reiki operates on the principle that when our life force energy is low or blocked, we are more susceptible to illness, stress, and emotional imbalance. By restoring the flow of this vital energy, Reiki helps the body's natural healing mechanisms activate, promoting wellness at every level.

Understanding the Seven Chakras

Chakras are energy centers within the body that correspond to different physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of our being. Reiki works to balance and harmonize these energy centers, promoting overall wellness.

How Reiki Works

1

Energy Attunement

A Reiki practitioner is trained and attuned to channel universal life force energy. This attunement opens energetic pathways, allowing the practitioner to become a conduit for healing energy.

2

Intuitive Placement

During a session, the practitioner places their hands on or above specific areas of your body, guided by intuition and training. The energy flows naturally to where it is most needed.

3

Energy Clearing

Reiki energy identifies and clears blockages in your energy field, removing stagnant or negative energy that may be contributing to physical or emotional imbalance.

4

Activation of Healing

As energy flows freely, your body's natural healing mechanisms activate. This promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and supports your immune system in fighting illness and disease.

5

Integration & Balance

Over the following days and weeks, the healing energy continues to work at a deep level, promoting lasting transformation and sustained wellness.
